Gold honor cords will be given to graduates with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher at the college level.

Red, White, and Blue cords will be given to veterans and active duty military.

White cords will be given to Early College graduates.

The cords listed above will be provided at the College’s expense to students participating in the graduation ceremony.

Phi Theta Kappa

You are also entitled to wear a PTK honors stole. These stoles are available for you to borrow the day of graduation just prior to the ceremony and must be returned immediately after the ceremony.

Nursing caps for the pinning ceremony are available for purchase in the college bookstore.

Graduation date

The date of graduation this year is set as May 7 & 8, 2021.

Graduation Times By Program have not yet been determined.

Program times are subject to change!

Congratulations on your accomplishments!

Special Notes

Due to space limitations, and social distancing concerns, Commencement will be held over two days. In this way, we will be able to accommodate all of our graduates that wish to participate, along with two guests per graduate.  Students will have the opportunity to walk across the stage in their cap and gown while being video recorded. Students who choose not to walk, but would still like to participate, will be given the opportunity to submit a personal photo and/or video to share on social media after the event.  A Commencement webpage will be used once again to feature speakers, the program, faculty and staff well-wishes and students as they cross the stage.

Again, due to social distancing requirements, faculty and staff involvement in the ceremony will be limited this year.  This year, faculty and staff should be available outside of building 400 to cheer our students on after the ceremonies.

Emails will be sent out the week of March 1, 2021 to graduates, asking those who plan to participate to RSVP at the website below. This will allow for us to adequately plan to ensure social distancing. Deadline to RSVP is April 1, 2021. Additional details will follow and will be posted at the link below when available.
